Arashi fan community

hi :) i was able to go participate in the scene tour at kokuritsu. i got my ticket from a friend who's in the fc so i was able to get it for the original price, 7500 yen. i would say if you're going to buy them from a ticketing service, sapporo is usually the cheapest.

if you wanna try getting tickets for a lower price, you should join mixi! they have arashi ticket communities so if someone has an extra ticket, they'll post there. there are VERY few people with extra tickets and a LOT of fans asking for them, but if you're a foreigner maybe you'll have an advantage ^-^

scalpers at the venue are also an option lol if you wait until the concert actually starts, they'll lower the price ^-^ i'm not sure how much their tickets usually are but i'm pretty sure it would be less than $1,000 if it's at a venue not in tokyo.

once the balloting results are out, fans sell their tickets on sites like ticket.co.jp and yahoo auctions.

how long does it take for results to come out? i'm wondering about the timing for buying a con ticket and ticket to japan. there should be enough time to plan for both right?

i think it takes about a month after you ballot for the results to come out and then another month or so for the tickets to arrive. so yea, there should be plenty of time for you to plan!

i-tm4u.biz is VERY reliable, but be prepared to pay $400+. She has to go by auction prices so you're definitely NOT going to get a facevalue ticket.

It is MUCH cheaper to buy a ticket from someone prior to seat assignments. While you won't have the ticket in hand, if they find out it's floor prior to selling it, they can jack the price WAY up.

The best way to get tickets is to have a friend in Japan and have them join the FC for you. That's what I did. I didn't hit this year, but another friend did and I went with her to the last show in Fukuoka.

Another bit of advice is to not try to go for the Tokyo/Kokuritsu shows. They're ALWAYS the most bidded on and always have the highest prices. If you're going to go to Japan, don't do it for just a concert - make a trip out of it and buy a rail pass - that way you can go to the place where the concert is (Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, etc) then just go back to Tokyo and spend time there. Definitely get your money's worth, that way.

Being in the fanclub doesn't help at all. Not anymore. All of my friends didn't hit. It's my 4th year in Japan, but I've never been to an Arashi concert because of bad luck (or because I don't wanna pay THAT much money).
I don't live close to Tokyo or Osaka, so it's harder to run into people or shops selling tickets cheaper.

Being in the fanclub and balloting smart does help. If you ballot for only Tokyo, Kokuritsu and Osaka and ballot for 3 tickets everytime, no you're not going to have a better chance. If you ballot for the more obscure venues (Sapporo, Nagoya, Fukuoka) and only ballot for 2 tickets, you have a better chance. I have two friends who've only been in the fanclub for 2 years each that balloted for fukuoka last day for 2 tickets and both hit. I have another friend who it's her second year in it as well and she balloted for 2 tickets for tokyo as well as nagoya and got tokyo.

So if you're going for Kokuritsu, going for 3 tickets - no your chances aren't good.

Tokyo is way too far away anyways, so I wouldn't ballot for those tickets.
I almost went to Fukuoka on their last concert day and was hoping for scalpers, but in the end I didn't go. As it was the last day, chances were probably quite low anyways ^^

That's your problem then. It's much harder to hit for 3 than it is for 2.

Theoretically, yes, but it seems like two is really the best bet. I don't know that one would be any better of a shot, but it might. Try for two next time.

you can read the above comments, they know more than me ^^ but FC members and pple who get the leftover tickets get it at that price. But if you're going to get it from an auction/supplier, they jack up the prices =.=
