Yay for Sho! I told all the Japanese kids in my classes today that it was Sho-kun's birthday! The girls were pretty excited. The boys were like, "How the hell am I supposed to know who Sakurai Sho is?"
The attitude was like, "Well he's Johnny's and I'm not gay. I don't have to know who he is. Enough said." lol Yeah but if I said Kimura Takuya and you didn't know who he was you'd probably be banished from sight by all your peers. Maybe even disowned by your family!
Which reminds me, I've seen this car cm with Kimura-san recently and it got me thinking, "He's the no. 1 hottest, most-wanted guy of an entire country. How must that feel? How does that happen?" Of course, it's debatable (he's not my type personally, but a great guy) but that's the general attitude held towards him.
Oh btw I saw another cm earlier this evening that gave me the biggest jolt! It was a Toyota cm. Sho-kun suddenly appeared on screen on a white backdrop and said, "I'm twenty six now, and I want to spend the next three years of my life wisely. Which is why I'm going to ask Toyota for the 3 year advance (payment) system." I was just like, "Holy hell that was quick! It's only been 3 days since his birthday!" lol
