Just a question that I've been thinking about lately..

It's well-known that Ohno/Nino are really close and it seems like Aiba/Sho are also pretty close. Where does Matsujun lie?! He seems like the odd one out. x]
But maybe that's just me? What do you all think?

I think I should clarify myself. It's not that I don't think he's close with ANY of the members or that he's an outsider, just that he seems less close. After reading everyone's comments, it could be because he's just really good friends with everyone in general or he's not as open when it comes to showing his feelings and doesn't do it as often. One of the reasons that I love Arashi is because they are so close and they really act like family. It seems like a really rare thing now a days since everyone is about money and spotlight and selfishness, but not our boys! ♥
I just wanted to clarify and thank you for everyone's thoughts and comments and PLEASE continue and tell me what you think. ^^

hmm...actually i get that feeling too.

he does seem like the odd one out. like in photoshoots or other pics and even in the shows and stuff it seems like he's just there standing by himself. :( lol

he's my fav. so its kinda sad. lol but its ok...he's special.

well maybe jun's just close to everyone. like it says aiba's his best friend in arashi, he used to idolize sho, and he calls ohno by just his name because they're close.

i guess arashi is just close to everyone in the group in general. its just that some pairs just show that closeness off on cam more than jun does. lol :D its ok...we all love him!

I think Jun's close to all of them actually, but he values his privacy and personal space. That's why he appears to be the odd one out.

Jun is actually pretty close to everyone in the group! He, Nino, and Aiba go back years, and Sho is an almost role-model sort of figure to him. He hangs out with Ohno outside of work pretty frequently.

Really, you can't judge from photoshoots how close they are, because with five guys (odd number) there'll always be one person on the edge, you know?

I didn't know that Sho was his role model! Yeah, I wouldn't say that he's not close with any of them (on the contrary, they ALL act like family and seem really comfortable around each other), just that he seems to not be as close as the others.

Yeah, Jun's pretty close to all of them. Sho tutored Jun in I think high school? Cuz he wanted to drop out, and just give it is all for JE, but Arashi and his family I'm guessing, made him reconsider graduating high school.

But yea, Jun, is close to all of them. They're like family ya kno'? And everyone made a lot of good points!~ ^__^

I don't think thats true because Arashi is a 5 man group. I mean yeah sometimes it just seems like the groupings always Nino/Ohno and Aiba/Sho but I remember Ohno saying in an interview that the guys don't think of those groupings and stuff. They don't think of "maybe I'm alone?" and plus like honooko said they're 5 in a group. I believe that Arashi isn't Arashi if there's one person out. Maybe you just got that idea because of influence from the other fans?

Arashi without one of its member is like living without air: impossible (sorry for the corny analogy x]). I agree though. I remember reading arashi.vox and she had this word association thing that the guys did. When asked about Arashi, I think 3 of the guys said "5", meaning the five members. That made me soo happy. ^^

And I suppose because they are 5 it is always a problem how to place them in concerts, with formations and stuff. 3 - 2 would look unbalanced and 1-1-1-1-1 would need a big space, so they just do 2-2-1 and I always thought about why Jun is 1 most of the time haha (please don't stone me haha) but I think it's because Jun has A LOT of stage presence, and he's sort of made this personal space aura about him that makes it easier to let him stand alone in concert formations lol


I'm not sure that made sense haha but I think the way they appear in shoots or formations has nothing to do with how they are personally. :P They are so amazingly close that pairings/groupings just about blur altogether XD
