[MOD POST] Update and a Poll

There are going to be a few slight tweaks to the rules coming up soon (including a new profile page that will make understanding them easier).


Seeing as quite a few people are either NOT reading the rules regarding video posts, or just not understanding them, I think it's time to hold a poll regarding video posts. Again, this rule (aside for needing the file information in the post) does not apply to SUBBED videos. Only the weekly shows: AnS, Himitsu, VSA and the Dramas.

For me, I'm leaning to the third option. I don't WANT to ban you guys from posting to the community, but I'm getting close to having to do so for a few people.


Please also remember the image rules: 300px wide, 3 icon previews above a cut. If you're posting a wallpaper preview, please only have ONE above the cut.

There will be a few rule modifications posted soon, after we get the feedback for this poll. :)

The third option is gonna give you mods a lot of work... There are sooo many vids...

But, let m ask you something: how would be the masterpost done? As soon as someone uploads the file, they send you the link, you post it and then you edit it as the mirrors show up?

Personally, I think onlyarashifiles would be more appropriate to vids, but we still post here because many people haven't joined them yet...

I can't answer for the mods exactly, but the way I've seen this done for other things is that a master post is put up saying something like "VS ARASHI MASTER POST" and then those with files can leave a comment on that post with their own links to the video. Then people can comment in reply to said comments to let them know they're downloading. People can choose which one to download based on where it's been uploaded or any other personal preferences.

It's basically just a way to keep it all in one place without a ton of entries for the same thing, and it's worked out well where I've seen it before. People know exactly where to go and things stay organized.

I like the third option because it also makes things much easier if people are looking for a certain sub group's subbed video. Instead of having to search through posts, we can just look at a weekly one. And to make it even easier, they can be tagged with something like Download: Weekly RNK and such. ^_^

The third option seems good for all, so people aren't restricted to posting only in "onlyarashifiles" since maybe not all people come here go there and vice versa.

Although it can be difficult to have to collect all posts and compile it for the master post. It'll probably save some people time when they're looking for a certain ep too.
