The last update to the staff blog before the start of Arashi Challenge Week!

The producer talks about some special commercials that have been made for Challenge Week. If you catch one of the rare ones, you'll feel really "lucky~!" :D

From the show’s producer, to all of you who are kindly supporting “Arashi Challenge Week”

There is only one day left until Arashi Challenge Week.

We the staff have been swamped these past few days with work on the various tapings of shows that will be broadcast during “Arashi Challenge Week” as well as preparing for “Odoroki no Arashi! Seiki no Daijikken & Nama Live SP” which will air on Sunday, 11/1 at 7:00.

For all of the staff members, this time is the toughest for us physically, but it is also the time when we can most experience the enjoyment of making TV shows. (laughs)

While the staff is working hard I’d like to introduce a small topic to all of you who are kindly reading the “Producer and Staff Blog”.

In the “broadcast area” (Kanto area) of our station, Nihon TV, we have been conducting the “DA BEAR” campaign since this April.

The orange bear character which is featured in a small drawing on the Arashi Challenge Week homepage. He is “DaBear-kun”, who is working hard to promote shows on Nihon TV.

One of the activities he does is what we call “3 second PR”, which are very short 3 second long commercials in which a life-size DaBear-kun appears making the same pose or putting his arm around the shoulders of famous talents! He is getting people excited for the shows they will appear in. (Apparently, DaBear-kun is supposed to be a new employee of Nihon TV.)

Finally, starting from tomorrow, the 25th, is Arashi Challenge Week.
So of course, our junior employee(?) DaBear-kun will be appearing with Arashi as well.
(This will be in the NTV area of Kanto only. We would like for everyone in the country to be able to see it, but we’re really sorry…)

These short DaBear commercials will feature the members of Arashi and DaBear doing unique poses while calling out “Arashi Challenge Week!”

The other day Arashi and DaBear finished the filming and the editor completed the commercials.

And that’s when I discovered something!
The members of Arashi really worked hard and it ended up that they filmed more commercials than we had expected.

1) First there is the “normal version”
This is where all 5 members of Arashi and DaBear are together calling out “Arashi Challenge Week!” in a very cool way.
We are expecting it to be played quite a lot during the week.

2) Next there is the “DaBear and One Member” versions.
In total there are 5 different versions and I hear that these will also be played quite often during the week.

And the fun part starts here, in addition to these there are also 5 more rare versions of DaBear and one member!

These are very rare versions which will only be played about twice each during Arashi Challenge Week from 10/25 to 11/1…

Ohno-kun & DaBear
Aiba-kun & DaBear
Sakurai-kun & DaBear
Ninomiya-kun & DaBear
Matsumoto-kun & DaBear

Each member is doing a unique pose, making 5 versions that will be shown only 2 times during these 8 days.
If you are able to catch one of them it will be really lucky! Won’t it!

They won’t even tell me when these rare versions will be aired…

So, while I’m watching the news in the morning,
Or happen to see a One Seg broadcast out in town,
Or when I’m watching late-night TV after coming home from work,
If I get to see one of these rare versions I’ll feel really “Lucky~!” just like all the other viewers.

At last, Arashi Challenge Week begins tomorrow!
It will start from “The Sunday Next”! (Tomorrow at 8am)
