NY Comic Con. Update.

Okay, so I decided to double check on times for the Comic Con and the autograph session and saw this:
"We don't want to provide any misinformation to all of Miike-san and Sakurai-san's fans, but we hope that they understand that while both Miike-san and Sakurai-san will be premiering Yatterman at New York Comic Con, the specifics of their appearances may change. Originally, both Miike-san and Sakurai-san were scheduled to participate in the panel and autograph session on Friday prior to the DGA Theater screening. Miike-san is still commited to both the panel and signing. Due to Sakurai-san's press schedule, we can no longer confirm he'll be participating in the panel and signing; however, he will be present and part of the world premiere at the DGA Theater on Friday night, and tickets to this screening will be distributed freely at Nikkatsu's booth at New York Comic Con as well as via a contest to members of the subwaycinema.com mailing list."

So, Sho might NOT be signing autographs?! I'm not really sure if I want to buy a plane ticket and go there now. S: Anyone else have any other information saying otherwise?

Although, like the paragraph says, his schedule is booked and he might not make it. That's at least promising, knowing that JE didn't forbid him or anything like that. I'm keeping positive that we'll meet him in one way or another.

Most likely the hammer came down from JE & Associates to not allow him to sign autographs.

This means he most likely has been highly requested for the press events. And he will still be at the theater for the premier.

I'll see if I can find out more through the press routes.

But if he doesn't, I'll still go since I already took a day off from work and paid $30 for the ticket.

Hopefully, I'll be able to score one of those free premiere tickets and snap some shots of Sho.

Hmm...well I was changing my mind and thinking about going, but if this is how it's going to be I'll probably just save the money to go to Japan and see an Arashi concert instead. :x

I'll just let the people who live in New York go and hopefully we can get some good video/photos out of the panel.

honestly, i'm not surprised. autographs seemed too good to be true. but i'll still go since i am in NY anyway. i won't be picky. i'm satisfied as long as i am in the same room as him X_X

I did buy the ticket . . . from TX T__T But at least I will be back on home grounds and can see friends as well T__T But I will be really sad if he's not at the panel.

This is true. As long as I can snag the tickets "freely" given. I have a friend with a professional pass, so I think she can get in early . . .

And I can go to Mitsuwa and have delicious delicious gomadare udon, which I've been craving since I moved in August, and I'm bunking with friends I haven't seen in months, so it's really not a total loss, just disappointing. I am really hoping that the panel, at least will pan out.

So, I have to wonder, since JE makes his schedule, and originally ok'd this, is this more about fan reaction back home to a perceived slight, or the problem of the precedent or what? Not that we'll ever know . . . ah well.

yeah I read the site earlier with no updates and it just had Sho's name omitted from the blog.
But we can keep our heads up, and still Yatterman, the premier, SHO WILL BE WALKING THE READ CARPET. we can also hope that he'll be there at comic con still, and we'll at least get to lay our eyes upon him ^.^!

I live pretty close to NYC so I'm planning on going with my friend my bus
but the thing is its on a friday, and Friday class prof. is pretty strict with attendance, BUT im gonna risk it for a one in a life time event!
do any of you know if they are handing out the tickets on our way into the CC on the day of the event?

Nikkatsu's booth at New York Comic Con

If you go to the con site, it's likely they'll actually have the position of the booth marked. The booth would pretty likely be in the dealer area, I would think. I'll have to check that too ^^
