Quick question... How hard is it to get Arashi concert tickets for a show in Japan? And hopefully, one that are in the Summer? I'm wondering if I should even bother with this or not, to be honest. |:
I don't know about Arashi, but it was fairly easy for me to get NEWS tickets to their most recent tour. I got one off of an auction site, and then for the second show I went to, I scalped a ticket. It was fairly easy and painless (minus the cost). Lemme know if I can help you out more.
Sorry for the late reply! I was out of town for a bit there. ^^;;
Let's see... On the auction site, you can buy tickets in sets of two or sets of one. Getting two usually ends up being cheaper for each ticket. The ticket I got through the auction site was $160-ish, if I recall, for my part of the pair of tickets. I scalped a ticket 30 minutes before the show started on the second day for $100. True, those seats were worse, but, hey, I was still there. And Massu waved at me. :O xD
About having to be in Japan... I'm not entirely sure about that, but I think it would be a safe assumption. The site I used is entirely in Japanese and although I know my fair share, I had to have my RA help me sign up.
I scalped a ticket for an Arashi Dream-A-live tour concert in Osaka, right outside the concert hall just a few hours before the concert. It was really easy too.
Nope, I've never been able to pick the seat whenever I've scalped a ticket... :( Most of the times they don't show you the ticket until they see your money 8D
It depends on the concert, but the Arashi ticket was originally 6,500¥, but I paid 15,000¥ for it. And it was kinda cheap, cause I had seen some shops in Osaka selling them for 40,000¥.
At the shops you can check the seats before buying, but they don't have that many tickets to choose from... so it would probably be cheaper to buy them near the concert hall, at least from my experience. Also, sometimes you can't find any tickets at all at those shops (I'm talking especifically about Osaka, which is what I know...). Anyways, good luck with getting the tickets. I'm sure you'll find them, one way or another XD.
I was in Japan recently and there is a shop on takeshita doori (harajuku) where they sell concert tickets and other stuff. I managed to get hold on tickets for the grease musical there (with Ikuta Toma, it had been sold out since weeks ago) and I saw a few concert tickets there too. People who can't go to the concert or just won't use their tickets sell it to that shop I think, so if you're there. take a look. ^__^
i went to the concert in hokkaido this summer and my friend's friend got tickets for us. if you in the fan club, it's a lot easier. but for her, she kept calling in this number and it was a lottery to get tickets. she did get 4 for us. but only two of us went so we were able to sell the others at cost.
Yeah you know, whenever I heard "it's totally impossible!" I get kind of bothered because it's not impossible.
I went to D"A"L con in Sapporo and...not only did I have four tickets for night one, I managed tickets for night two as well.
The thing is it's a matter of sticking your neck out a bit. That might mean making friends, posting around, etc. Any amount of effort should show reward. Just be diligent/patient. :)
Yep, both nights! And no problem -- I wish you great luck! I'm going to be re-living the ticketing process for 2009 but I've sworn on Shocito's head that I'd see Arashi for their 10th Anniversary. XD So that means I'm serious. LMAO
XDDD yes Shocito. I have like 50+ nicknames for him. Ignore me. Haha but nooo you're smart to plan now. I think around now is when I began to consider going to D"A"L con- possibly a little later.
Oh! If your Japanese is decent & you have a Mixi account, join some Arashi communities there and make friends & stuff. If you ballot, you're assigned four tickets and I doubt every Japanese Arashi fan has 3 others to go with each time so people might be selling them there or looking for other fans to go with. Just another option. ^o^
