so my best friend allowed me to spam here with JE related stuff because I am in desperate need for someone to fangirly with and unfortunately most people on my flist still haven't discovered the awesomeness that is JE.
anyway, because of this I would like to ask what performances/interviews/etc. you would recommend to show to a person who is totally new to the fandom. what clips are just epic and everyone in the fandom has to see it because they are just this good? (e.g. Aiba and his 'very danger') What are the clips that you can watch over and over again without ever getting bored? and also what clips did you show your friends if you wanted them to get into Arashi?

I showed my friend from Japanese class clips from Utaban, mostly Ohno/Nakai fights. She's now an Ohno fangirl. :3

I recommend Mago Mago when they look after the kids- it's always good for a laugh- and any Aiba Suguroku episodes. ^_^

Aiba the Mirror Man! The 24 Hr. TV Aiba letter, any Mago Mago with kids.
I hooked my sister with a combination of silly DnAs, Shukudais (like the one where they use a speed meter and Jun slaps Ohno lol), Mago Mago (like the rowing episodes) and Odoroki (sp?) Specials.

Then I killed her with Letters From Iwo Jima. She likes all the boys now, but she's obsessed with Nino XD

I rented it first but the dvd was damaged so I got it from a mininova torrent.
If you need a copy and you can't find it, let me know, I'll put it on megaupload for you.

Here's the upload. It's in three parts so you need to join them with HJSplit or something similar.
It's my first upload with a split file, please let me know if there's something wrong with it.

It's an avi (800MB) and it has hardsubs.

I hope you enjoy it... although it's such a sad movie.

For performances.. Arashi concerts..?lol..no no, it might be too much for first timers xDD..
The recent Shounen Club Premium performances were awesome.. 'move your body' for drooling effect..<3
But really, once you get use to all the rainbows and glitters, their concerts are great..not only you'll become a fan.. you'll become bias~:D

those fanvids where they combine all the wacky moments in d and g no arashi (imho, the two best arashi programs to date; mago mago comes in third).

The hey!hey!hey! telephone box has worked pretty well, as well as the extremely sadistic game Aiba made up. ^^

I have to thank you for listing that part with Aiba -- I totally LOL'd, and now I'm looking at the other similar clips to this I've seen the phrase "Very, very, danger!" tossed around in some posts, but I never quite understood the crack behind it. Now I know xDDDDDDDDDD

(I've only been a fan for less than 3 months, slowly catching up with everyone else, so I haven't seen a lot of these clips yet ._.)

my fave clips would include d no arashi udauda specials (i mean, where else would you find 5 grown men in pajamas and shamelessly making fools of themselves on television XD), a no arashi segments, sho's drawings vs. ohno's drawings picture matching games on g no arashi.. there's lots more, but i can't possibly name them all XDD

oh, and for performances, i love the shounen club premium perfs and the ONE concert digest (it shows the awesomeness of their concerts and the costumes aren't that bad ^-^ well, in my opinion..)

one more thing, for PV's, i always hook my friends with We Can Make It! and Love So Sweet.. (Happiness is also a great PV, but i wouldn't recommend it until they understand their (err..) "closeness" XD)

When I was getting my friend hooked, the We can make it! PV followed by the Happiness and Kitto Daijoubu PVs did it. After she regained breathing capabilities and her eyes adjusted themselves to the rainbows, sparkles and overall crack, she was hooked.

Also, the Tokyo Friend Park 2 special with Arashi is always worth a watch, and any of the VS Arashi episodes would work too.

Drama: My first step getting into Arashi is through Jun-bait (baiting someone into Arashi through Jun's dramas) XD. Get her to watch Gokusen or Hana Yori Dango or Kimi Wa Petto. ^^ But I personally liked Nino's Haikei Chichiuesama. One of the better j-dramas I've seen yet.

TV Show: D and G no Arashi totally sold me to Arashi as a group. Those shows just didn't need that much translation for most of the episodes (which worked for me because I don't know any Japanese). The Sho vs Ohno drawing matching game never gets old. Sho's Totoro just...classic lol. Mago Mago Arashi is also good.

Concert: The One Concert's Yes?No? opening number. So cool! Gives me goosebumps everytime I watch it. Also let her watch Ohno's Top Secret performance in the Iza Now concert. A must-see for ANY Arashi fan.

Music: Kitto Daijobou.

Good luck...Hope you get your best friend into JE!
