嵐・櫻井が右手親指骨折、ステージから転落

　人気グループ「嵐」の櫻井翔（２６）が１日、愛知県・ナゴヤドームで行われたコンサートのリハーサル中、誤ってステージから転落。右手親指の付け根を骨折する大けがを負っていたことがわかった。全治１カ月という。

　 櫻井は転落した際に右手を強打。激しい痛みがあるため、リハーサルを中断し病院に直行した。その後は患部を固定し会場に戻り、予定通りこの日のステージに 出演。ただ、ほとんど踊りは披露することなく、ファンには「人生で初の骨折をしてしまいました」と報告したという。現在、全国ドームツアー中だが、予定通 り出演する見込み。また２日は、日本テレビ系「ニュースＺＥＲＯ」に出演するという。

Arashi's Sho Sakurai breaks right thumb falling from stage

Sho Sakurai (26) from popular group "Arashi" made a mistake and fell from the stage during a concert rehearsal at Nagoya Dome yesterday. He broke the joint of his right thumb. It will take a month for a complete recovery.

Sakurai impacted his right hand during the fall. The rehearsal was halted and he was rushed to hospital due to immense pain. He returned to the stage as planned after the injury was seen to. However, he participated little in the dance routines, and announced to the fans, "I've broken the first bone in my life." At present, Arashi is in the middle of their national Dome Tour, but Sakurai is expected to participate as planned. He will also appear on Nippon Television's "NEWS ZERO" on June 2.

I'm currently collecting well wishes for Sho Sakurai (who has broken his thumb during a concert rehearsal) at my LJ with the full intention of printing them and sending them in physical form to the man himself. I am currently a member of the Official Arashi fan club, speak fluent Japanese, and know a few addresses or at least have ways of finding out where to send snail mail, so rest assured that this is a completely serious effort.
