No problem! I remember being nervous and wishing I knew some of these things beforehand too. :)
For hotel check-in, another thing to keep in mind: Be careful not to linger around the venue too long afterward since there will be tons of fans trying to get on the same trains. You may risk missing the last train. I almost did. xD
For JR train schedules, I use Hyperdia Timetable (http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi-english/hyperWeb.cgi) since it's English-friendly. For you, the last train from Sapporo to Otaru is 11:30pm on the JR Hakodate line, and it'll be 620 yen and take 46 minutes. You may want to check again in case the schedule changes for some reason. Also, Hyperdia is for JR lines ONLY. Most urban areas have private metro lines that you need to check their websites for schedules.
The T-shirt is one size only. I don't know any measurements, but I would say it's like a baggy American Ladies M. I heard Sapporo T-shirts will change to raglan aka baseball tee style (3/4 length sleeves) so I'm not sure how roomy the shoulder area will be. :-/
Posters: Come wrapped up very nicely in plastic (according to member colors <3). I'm guessing they're about 1.5 inches wide in diameter and almost 2 feet long?
Here are some pics I took of the posters. Sorry for the crap quality, my camera broke and these were taken with a webcam. xD Lined up together: AMNOS + Group (black) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/diana_photostream/4039788499/) How I carried them in the eco bag (http://www.flickr.com/photos/diana_photostream/4040539566/)
The cardboard mailing tube sounds like a great idea! I wish I had something like that. At the airport I had to carry my posters in a larger tote bag and check it in as a "carry-on." I got up like 10 times during the flight to make sure they weren't getting crushed in the overhead compartment. xD Surprisingly they didn't though, so they're quite resilient. :)
